WHAT’S THE COST OF A LOAN?
A PPL loan has an establishment fee of $64 which covers the creation and management of your loan and 1% per day interest is charged throughout the life of the loan. First-time clients will also have a once-off account set-up fee of $24. The AIR (Annual Interest Rate) is 365% p.a. which seems high, however, because our loans are a short-term solution our customers find our rates quite reasonable, especially when compared to other lenders in the industry.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I MISS A REPAYMENT?
Here at PPL, we understand that sometimes unexpected things happen and therefore we do not charge default interest or negatively affect your credit rating. We only charge a default fee of $13.00 and the term of the loan is then extended to accommodate for the extra fee and interest. We may attempt a lesser amount on the subsequent payment to ensure payment clears. It’s always best to contact us prior to a payment failing to change or postpone a payment or at the very least once payment has failed. Remember, we are here to help, not make things worse.
If we are unable to contact you via our collection practices, you may be referred to an external debt collection agency. Additional fees may be applied once the debt is handed over.
